Meet Dr. Darling

Dr. Kate J. Darling is an Organizational Psychologist, educator, and workplace strategist dedicated to helping organizations build resilient, healthy, and high-performing teams. With a specialization in resilience at work, workplace culture, leadership, event centrality, childhood adversity research, and performance management, Kate brings a rare blend of academic rigor and practical experience to every engagement.

She is the founder of Darling Organizational Psychology, where she partners with organizations across Canada to develop psychologically healthy workplaces rooted in evidence-based methods and real-world application. Her work spans sectors including healthcare, municipal government, first responders, corporate teams, education, and non-profits.

Kate also teaches at Lakehead University and Confederation College, where she leads courses on organizational behaviour, operations, business strategy, human resource management, and leadership development. Her teaching style mirrors her consulting philosophy: practical, engaging, research-informed, and immediately applicable.

Driven by a belief that work should be both productive and psychologically safe, Kate empowers leaders and teams to enhance communication, strengthen collaboration, and build cultures that support long-term well-being and performance.
